TWO OPPORTNITIES
1. Software Engineer:
The Software Engineer will perform software development in support of the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Will design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for the OSM organization using C++ and Java programming languages on Linux operating systems. Main responsibilities include designing and developing software to model various systems (including AN/TPY-2, Cobra Dane, UEWR, and SBX) to accurately represent capabilities of the ground-based search, track and discrimination reporting of ballistic missiles. Additional responsibilities may include interfacing with OSM customers and presenting technical briefings to OSM stakeholders.
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, code, test and integration. Must be able to program in C++, have a strong understanding of Object Oriented software development and have a basic understanding of UNIX and/or Linux. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Must currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance.

Experience in developing software in Java. Knowledge/experience in several of the following: advanced mathematics, missile defense domain knowledge, spaced-based sensor systems, modeling and simulation development, UNIX and Linux platforms, or CMMI

2. Software Engineer
We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO. The Threat Modeling Center is responsible for the development and delivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System. Primary responsibilities include: designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, and testing code used to support and generate ballistic missile and aircraft models into high-resolution simulation media to support MDA Ballistic Missile Defense System events. This is a technical software-orientated position. This position is contingent upon task award.
REQUIRED: A Bachelor's of science in engineering, computer science or related education with at least 8 years of recent active development experience is required. A strong background in C and C++ programming on UNIX, LINUX, and Windows platforms is required. Attention to detail is necessary. Candidate must be result focused, work within a dynamic environment, be self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, and able to produce reliable software products, documentation and automated unit test within established deadlines. This position requires a mid-level software development engineer with experience in software design and development. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
DESIRED: Modeling, Simulation, and automation experience a plus. A strong math, physics or engineering background is preferred. Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles is highly desired. Software troubleshooting and code optimization experience is also desirable. Candidates with demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience with junior developers is a plus. Prefer Candidates with some project scheduling and estimation experience. Candidates with a final Secret and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
