Summary

QA Tester Senior Test Analyst

I. BASIC FUNCTIONS: Responsible for leading test effort for project releases. Leading a group of Senior testers in QA efforts. Author project test strategies, test plans & test schedules

Develop verification and validation test scenarios according to established requirements and manage test scenarios in Quality Center, maintaining linkage of test scenarios to ensure adequate requirements coverage. Develop in-depth subject matter expertise and domain knowledge to be able to recognize test failures for the application under test

Provide statistical information on test execution

Candidates should have a strong fundamental grasp of application development tools, testing procedures, and systems development life cycle processes. Candidate also should have fundamental experience as an analyst creating reports, working with data, working with data warehouses, and working in general with validating data for reporting purposes.

Candidates need to possess a strong working knowledge of tools used to create test designs and execute test plans. Performs test analysis on complex project requirements. Responsible for resolving complex issues identified in testing. Designs contingency plans as needed. Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects discovered during the testing activity. Performs risk analyses requirements for integrated testing.

Candidates must maintain broad knowledge of the multiple environments and Internet applications.

Additionally, candidates should recognizes the inter-relationships between the various functional components of the system (ie collections, posting, authorizations) and the business, technical and project requirements in order to determine the appropriate testing methodology to use during test execution and validation. This individual will participate in conducting test plan reviews.

II. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 5+ years of application testing experience, including application testing and/or report and data validation testing

Extensive experience with functional test execution

Extensive experience designing test cases

Experience writing SQL queries to verify Back End functionality

Understanding of XML

Some business analysis experience

Knowledge of data models and relationships between data elements

Demonstrated ability presenting to small work groups on both technical and functional requirements

Ability to thrive under production pressure and deadlines

Proven experience in establishing a formal process and tools for QA testing.

Ability to follow established processes and identify process needs

Ability to be self-directed and lead other individuals, including those outside of your immediate team

Strong conceptual and planning skills

Strong communication (verbal and written), time management skills, fast learner, self motivated, and comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously

Comfortable in ambiguous environments and working through complex problems

Work Experience:

Total 3 5 years experience in QA Testing or Automation

Organizing and managing test scripts using Quality Center

Exeperience in working with QTP

Provide statistical information on test execution

Strong oral and written communications abilities

Solid analytical and technical skills

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Test Analyst II

Four year college degree and 2 or more years professional experience or 4 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Test Analyst Sr

Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experience or 6 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
