JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Instructor will analyze customer requirements, available training methods and material, and facilities to design the required curriculum for classroom instruction. Provide instruction that teaches assigned students in the manner described in the course textbooks and materials. Manage instructional content for the assigned topic area. Develop and deliver new content and make recommendations for revisions of existing topic area content. Conduct practical exercises in a laboratory environment, conduct student study hall periods, and provide tutoring/remedial instruction. Interact with training developers, curriculum managers, and mission customers to assist with design and implementation of total training package. Conduct periodic course content review and provide recommendations for training material revisions.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:

- AA in Computer Science or a directly related field. In lieu of an AA, a minimum of four years of applied practical work experience in UNIX operating systems within the last six years may be substituted, in addition to work experience identified below.
- Two years experience in UNIX operating systems
- Two years experience (within the last 3 years) in preparing and presenting skills-based instruction to adults in the specified topic area to include facilitating student participation through role playing or operational simulations
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Formal, documented training in a web-based or distance-learning teaching technology (eg, Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, and/or SumTotal)
- Current TS/SCI with polygraph
