Our insurance practice is in search of a Technical Architect who will be responsible for overseeing integration between the primary and secondary solution partners as well as developing and maintaining related IP software to include the following areas: SSO/common login, common UI and System Distribution/SOA.
This position is responsible for working with subject matter experts and technical resources to define and maintain the consortium's roadmap, integration, interfaces, etc. The Technical Architect will lead projects as well as oversee and participate in partner projects. Another aspect of the Technical Architect's position is to assist with marketing presentations, technical deep-dive discussions with prospects and publishing technical marketing collateral. Flexibility is a key attribute to a Technical Architect for this integrated solution. A willingness to manage as well as participate in solution development is essential. This candidate must have a well-rounded perspective of all aspects of product development, maintenance, implementation, sales and marketing with the drive to be a leader in forming and maintaining this unique offering.
Essential Skills Required
- Property and Casualty Domain expertise
- Experience in implementation of Enterprise Service Bus which will be used to connect different web service/product platforms
- Experience in design, development and consumption of web services which comply with the latest standards
- Experience in web service security
- Experience in web application security
- Experience in single sign on design and implementation that involves multiple vendor products
- Experience in application response monitoring products
- Experience in relational databases (Oracle is preferred)
- Hands on knowledge of Java 1.6++ is required
- Knowledge and implementation experience in BATCH processing
- General knowledge of XML, XSLT, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
- Good written and oral presentation skills
- Maintain knowledge of best practices for development using specific methodology and Jira tracking tools.
- Collaborate with Insurance partner subject matter experts
- Develop and manage roadmap and hold regular synergy meetings with partners to synchronize efforts.
- Assist with orchestrating partners for demos, implementations and product maintenance.
- Experience with a variety of SDLC methodologies Scrum, Waterfall, etc
- Solid understanding of workflow concepts
