Internet Software Developer I (Systems Analyst) - Entry Level - JavaScript, HTML, API-90034

Description

Summary

A developer will be required to develop/code applications that are in accordance with both technical and functional requirements. Applications will be coded in accordance with established industry and company standards for J2EE applications. Developers work under the direction of designated team leads and should demonstrate excellent problem solving capability.

Responsibilities

Under much guidance and supervision, develops and builds applications within department in a fast-paced Object Oriented environment. Utilizes numerous sources to obtain and build development skills. Applies skills in software application development as assigned. Receives business requirements from client via a Business Analyst/architect/development lead to successfully develop applications, functions, and processes. Conducts unit testing on development assignments. Must be detail-oriented with ability to follow-through on issues. Must be able to work on and manage multiple tasks in addition to working with other areas within the department. Enhances existing applications to meet the needs of ongoing efforts within software platforms. Records and tracks time worked on projects and assignments.

Develops a general understanding of TSYS, software platforms, and the credit card industry. Develops a general understanding of the project development/management processes, methodology, and the impact of the project management metrics. Participates in team, department, and division meetings as required.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

- Information Systems knowledge/experience around JavaScript and integrated systems
- Willingness and drive to learn technologies
- HTML
- SQL or Oracle database interaction
- API (eg XML)

Education/Experience

Four year college degree and no related experience or 2 or more years specialized training or professional experience is required. Professional experience includes exposure to OO development, J2EE (JSP, JMS, EJB, Servlets, JDBC, etc.) XML, and RDMBS preferably with Oracle 8i or 9i. Candidates should have hands-on, Object Oriented development experience and Java. A Sun certified programmer is preferred. Experience developing within an n-tier architecture is preferred as well as experience with Oracle 8i/9i and BEA Weblogic. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
