Description
Summary
Responsible for implementing and maintaining distributed systems in TSYS environments. This includes all approved vendor hardware and software for enabling the developmental, operational and production support groups to perform their assigned tasks. Serves as a technical resource for the company and is responsible for resolving issues with the hardware and software used at the TSYS installations.
The Senior System Software Analyst performs assigned tasks to install, maintain, monitor, document, and recover distributed systems. Plans functionally defined assignments and goals, actions, and results clearly defined. Evaluation of significant alternatives as well as originality is required at this level. Assists supervisor in providing estimates of work effort and impact of projects and tasks. Assists junior team members in becoming active participants in maintenance functions.
The Senior System Software Analyst has a broad understanding of his/her role in the department and division, the structure of the company, and the corporate culture.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructures
Build and provision Windows Servers in complex customer deployments
Required Skills/Qualifications
Recent demonstrated successful experience designing and implementing Active Directory
Experience with managing VMWare ESX 4.x and 5.x
Experience in managing large Internet facing applications
Extensive experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server
Experience with MS Windows Clustering
Experience with enterprise SAN and NAS configurations
Experience working with SCCM/VCM
Experience working with IIS
Experience working with SQL Server
Understanding of TCP/IP and other networking principles
Desired Experience/Skills
MSCE
Experience working with large Internet facing environments
VBS or PowerShell Scripting
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 2 or more years professional experience or 4 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
