Primary Objective(s)


As a software developer at Elite, you will work on a small agile development team to design and develop features & product enhancements; maintain & repair existing software; develop test automation suites & test harnesses for Elite's flagship legal software solution, Elite 3E. All software is developed using Test Driven Development methodology and all code submitted for builds must include functional unit tests.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have coded for Web-based technologies. The candidates will participate on Agile teams to implement features/functions/tests during development iterations. A current primary goal is to create an automated test environment, so all tests will become the basis for a regression suite.

The ideal candidate will have worked in Agile environments and possess strong development and problem solving skills to write code and tests at the API and UI levels, adding test hooks as needed.. They must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be self-motivated and deliver on commitments within the established timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in advanced software design and development of large scale enterprise software.
- Participate on Agile teams developing features, functions and tests.
- Automate test cases written by the manual QA team
- Gain domain and product knowledge necessary to implement functionality.
- Provide benchmarks and metrics to assess quality of software.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Required:
- BS and 5+ years of total software development experience.
- 5+ years experience in OOP with C#, VB.NET or similar
- 3+ years' experience in quality engineering.
- Experience filing bugs and tracking/driving issues to closure
- Ability to write effective reproduction scenarios
- Good debugging skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
- Demonstrates an eagerness to obtain domain knowledge in order to effectively leverage technical qualifications

Preferred:
- Experience developing applications in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Jquery, Linq, WCF, XML
- Experience executing performance and load tests, analysing results and identifying bottlenecks
- Experience testing applications implemented with Silverlight and WPF
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with tools: Visual Studio, MSTest, SQL Server, MSTest, Wireshark
- Experience with VCS, Issue tracking and Continuous Integration Systems. We currently use TFS for all of these.
