Security Operations/Integration Specialist

The Security Operations/Integration Specialist is an IT Security professional responsible for leading the deployment of security technologies in a Managed Security Services environment. The candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual who excels at interacting with clients and deploying security technology, augmented by business and risk management awareness. The candidate is a self-starter who works with a minimal amount of supervision in a highly dynamic environment.

You must have experience with the Arcsight tool set including logger, connector, etc.

The preferred location for this position is Phoenix, AZ, although a remote work option is a possibility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the interaction with the Leads of other CGI teams to flesh-out and confirm deployment and configuration details.
- Deploy the security technology solution to fit client requirements by adapting from reference architectures, including technical diagrams and bills of materials for implementation.
- Write or perform validation tests as part of the transition of the security solution to the Security Operations team.
- Creates or contributes to projects plans to implement a client's security solution.
- Provides third-level support to Security Operations.
- As necessary, perform knowledge transfer to the Security Operations team via training courses and/or clear and concise documentation.
- Leads and provides input to the development of standard operating procedures for new and existing packaged managed security service offerings.
- Leads and provides input to the creation and/or maintenance of managed security service technology offerings including service descriptions, product evaluation, reference architecture, operations manuals, reporting, and project estimating/costing.
- Maintains awareness of trends in regulatory, technology, and operational requirements.
- Maintain awareness of a security technology specialization and recommend changes to reference architectures.

Education and Experience

- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.
OR
- Completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Sciences from a recognized community college, or in a related discipline, combined with a minimum of six (6) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.
OR
- Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related practical experience within the last fifteen years, and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.

Must have:

- Demonstrated Customer Service skills including presenting and/or discussing technical proposals with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate and oversee work to members of a team.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and proposals.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Team player, good time-management and organizational skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure.
- Track record in mentoring and coaching staff members.
- Detailed knowledge of Linux/UNIX based devices at the System Administrator level.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Ability to obtain a US Federal Government Position of Trust security clearance.

Desirable:

- Security certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC such as GCFW, GCIA, GCWN.
- Intimate knowledge of various network and security technologies including: primarily Security Information Event Management (SIEM, especially ArcSight), Intrusion Prevention/Detection (Network, Host and Wireless), Firewalls, VPN
- Knowledge of Checkpoint, Cisco and/or Juniper Firewall technologies.
- Knowledge and experience with leading IPS vendors (Cisco, IBM, TrendMicro).
- Knowledge of: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution
