SuperMedia is currently looking for a talented Oracle/MySQL database administrator with 10+ years experience for its Dallas/FortWorth office. The DBA will perform administration and engineering for multiple large databases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with supporting multiple databases on various Unix platforms, work with a distributed on-shore/off-shore team, lead database migrations and automation projects. Successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong experience with both OLTP and DSS environments preferred.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of Oracle DBA experience on Unix/Linux.
3+ years experience with 11g
4+ years of MySQL DBA experience on Unix/Linux
5+ years of Scripting in unix/linux environment
Experience in data guard and replication
Experience in ASM
Experience with PLSQL and SQL
Experience with backup and recovery
Experience with performance tuning
Experience in a 24X7 production environment
BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
Highly motivated to solve problems efficiently.
Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with DBA and application teams
Experience in DR
Experience in CDC
Experience in Quest Shareplex replication tool
Experience in a 24X7 production environment
Knowledge of Oracle DBA best practices (eg, schema management, index optimization, and use of hints)
Strong query and database tuning skills
