Network/Security Engineer (Dallas, TX)

Full-time hire = Network/Security Engineer in Dallas. $80-100K base + 20-25% bonus + Fortune 100 benefits. Sorry, no relocation.

Minimum requirements:

• 4-year degree is, positively, required
• 5+ years as a Network Engineer designing and implementing network security infrastructure in enterprise networks
• Expertise in TCP/IP Networks: LAN/WAN design and troubleshooting; Decoding packet traces; Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP); ACLs, VPN, NAT, multicast
• Experience with the configuration of Cisco Router and switch platforms and be able to create/deploy software configurations on those platforms.
• Experience with most of the following: Checkpoint, Juniper and Palo Alto Firewall platforms; Bluecoat ProxySG; Sourcefire IDS/IPS; F5 and NetScaler load balancers

Duties:

• Designs the organization's external facing network architecture, and develops technology that increases the security, reliability, and scalability of the perimeter.
• Work with the latest technologies in the security space.
• Work with other engineering teams to integrate perimeter products into the technology infrastructure platform.
• Define and document the strategic architecture for the firm's perimeter network security infrastructure.
• Provide global leadership for Firewalls, proxies, and IDS/IPS platforms.
• Evaluate, test, and select network security focused platforms and solutions.
• Apply and enforce the firm's security practices across all connectivity solutions.
• Refine and develop best practice designs for the perimeter network environment.
• Provide level 3 support for network related issues.

$ Compensation package $

* Base salary in the $80 - 100K range.
