One of Atlanta's progressive hospital system is seeking a Revenue Cycle Coordinator to help develop a newly acquired Physician Billing Company.
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The Revenue Cycle Coordinator manages all client billing information on a day to day basis. The Revenue Cycle Coordinator has a strong working knowledge of the revenue cycle and all the moving parts. Responsible for supervising staff and Revenue Cycle activities as delegated by the Manager Business Office Services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in supervising the day-to-day revenue cycle management as delegated by the Operations Manager
- Identifies, analyzes, and assists in resolving work flow process problems
- Evaluates and reports on staff performance as directed by Operations Managers
- Recommends staff training or disciplinary needs to Operations Managers
- Understands and analyzes monthly financial reports; is able to identify areas that are not optimal
- Uses all available to tools to manage staff work flow effectively; suggests new methods of measure
- Collaborates with other team leads, application manager, and others to continually improve process
- Ensures patients are treated courteously by office staff; properly resolves or directs patient issues as needed
- Participates in client meetings to review financial metrics and future client needs
- Acts as a communication link between staff and management as needed
- Abides by and promotes HIPAA compliance; maintains strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
- Participates in staff meetings as directed by the Operations Managers
- Any other duties and or special projects as assigned
Job requirements
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years physician revenue cycle experience
