Serves as technical expert responsible for the administration and automation of Oracle Enterprise Manager and related technologies. Will be a primary application service provider for monitoring, troubleshooting and coordinating mission critical database applications and their infrastructure. Essential Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains data architecture to increase the performance, and scalability of GE systems
- Assess project alignment to the overall architectural blueprint
- Works with other architects to select the data architecture alternatives that best fit the overall operating strategy and business architecture
- Designs and develops a common methodology in the development of new database components, owning data flows, data maps, and standards for data usage and data governance for build teams
- Leads the database analysis, design, and build effort accounting for requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth and ensures that quality requirements are met
- Researches and documents information architecture standards and best practices.
- Installation, deployment and maintenance of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Grid Control or Oracle Cloud Control 11G/12c, service packs and related software,
- Experience with enforcing application change control and migration strategy policies. Identify, influence and recommend design system requirements for software projects and enhancements
- Define SLAs, Incident Rules, and deliver usable monitoring Dashboard reports
- Upgrade, configure, tune, and debug all components of Oracle 10G and 11G databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Plan, execute, and support continuous production rollouts of new functionality utilizing latest Oracle utilities.
- Plan and execute strategy to stay current on Oracle technology and releases.
- Provide evaluation, architecture, and integration skills to implement and support 3rd Party products within the Oracle framework.
- Contribute to overall capacity planning and configuration management of the supporting infrastructure.
- Identify and lead automation of repetitive processes to minimize errors and maximize service delivery.
- Document processes and train team members within an onsite/offsite resource model.
- Integrate with a larger DBA team that supports other custom Oracle database applications.
- Work effectively across various support teams and with senior management.
- Research DB technology, determine business requirements, propose changes, and develop migration and implementation plans. Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or 4 years equivalent working experience) with 5+ years of IT experience
- Minimum 5 years in Oracle 10G/11G database administration experience including implementations of Oracle Enterprise Manager including implementations, upgrades, and performance tuning (SQL, OEM, RMAN, and PL/SQL).
- Minimum 5 years' experience with Linux and or Solaris operating systems.
- Minimum 5 years' experience of authoring and maintaining UNIX Shell scripts.
- Minimum 5+ years with problem analysis/resolution for O/S, database, and middle tier technologies.
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions. - Experience in, RAC, Dataguard, Oracle ASM.

- Minimum 3+ years of project management experience.
- Strong skills in new product evaluation, architecture, implementation, and integration with Oracle databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, cross-team training, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to support 24/7/365 applications including on call rotations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
