Front End Developer-HTML5, PHP, Jquery, CSS3, Javascript Front End Developer Job Description
We are a digital marketing company, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Front End Web Developer to join our software development team. This position is ideal for recent college graduates who are seeking professional experience in web design/development and are ready to get their hands dirty.
The Developer is responsible for the following:
•Converting wireframes and concepts into HTML, CSS and JavaScript (usually jQuery)
•Participating in team discussions revolving around product strategy,
•Assisting with other product development, including creating user flows and concepts for custom projects and platform development
Responsibilities
•Developing clean, scalable Front End code for use in a multi-platform, cross-brand web software property
•Supporting Creative Director with various design tasks, such as skinning web properties for major restaurant brands (design and some CSS work)
•Working with content from various APIs to create a content-rich, user-friendly experience
•Managing projects for internal clients, providing updates and timelines for completion
•Keeping up with the most current web design trends and standards, especially mobile web development, user experience design and social media
Skills & Requirements
Background and Experience
•2- 3 years experience in Web Design
•Bachelors in Web design, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, or related degree or
•Associates Degree in Web design, Graphic Design, Digital Arts or related degree with work experience
Design & Technical Skills
•Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, and intermediate knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery
•Solid understanding of web usability standards and an ability to apply that knowledge across desktop, mobile, and other user experiences
•Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks
•Strong grasp of visual communication principles including design, illustration, color theory, and typography
•Proficient web production skills (image optimization, working with sprites, etc.)
•Experience with PHP and/or MySQL is a major plus
•Experience with WordPress theme development is a plus
•Experience working in development environment is a plus, including Unix command line and subversion control
