Position Description
Responsible for codification and maintenance of the Material Management Information System (Lawson) item file. Administers data management, data structure, and data normalization. Maintains specific database files and fields and assures database integrity. Responsible for reviewing, codifying and applying business rules to items prior to addition to Lawson. Gathers all necessary data, interacts with departments and vendors for product description, packaging and unit of measure, and product codification information. Ensures integrity of monthly financial reporting by applying appropriate general ledger accounting codes. Works closely with Contract Analysts, MMIS Ops Analysts, and Vendor Management Analyst to determine appropriate information to ensure accuracy of Centura Health item file. Serves as a resource to Supply Chain Management staff and departmental users assisting in research and optimizing utilization of Lawson item file. Creates additional major/minor categories as necessary and links to general ledger prior to implementation. Works with IT representatives on assuring addition of new items to appropriate Meditech dictionaries.
Maintains an accurate filing system for manufacturer and vendor item changes, catalog number changes, unit of measure designations, conversions and changes. Problem solves data linking concerns, patient charging designations, general ledger account codifications and technical issues with item file data.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Two years of college or equivalent experience
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 1 year in healthcare Supply Chain or clinical setting or equivalent experience in healthcare environment.
Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications Outlook and Excel.
Lawson Supply Chain ERP Experience Preferred
Experience with relational database maintenance.

Communicate effectively with various skill levels to include technical, clinical and non-clinical staff, directors and managers.
