Information Systems (IS) Engineering Analyst - Permanent

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for an Information Systems (IS) Engineering Analyst to join our client in Duluth, GA.

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain the security infrastructure following best practices while maintaining a high level of availability and ease of user access.
Infrastructure includes but may not be limited to the following:
Proxy Servers, remote access devices, password vaults, security auditing/logging and others as directed
- Serve as a security expert during application development, database design, and network or operating system implementations
- Assist with troubleshooting of applications or infrastructure related to security technology
- Research and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for applications and infrastructure
- Analyze information security threats, requests and audit findings and provide solutions and audit remediation as directed
- Work primarily within IT and occasionally with end users to ensure understanding of and adherence to information security policies
- Work with external vendors and partners as necessary to resolve incidents
- Perform testing of computer systems to monitor effectiveness of security
- Perform information security reviews of external vendors and hosting providers to ascertain compliance with Information Security policies and industry best practices
- Use ticketing systems as directed to manage work effort and participate in technical projects as a task or sub-project owner

Job Qualifications:

- A strong technical knowledge of information security principles and best practices is required, as well as the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
- HS Diploma or GED required and seven (7) years relevant experience OR;
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and five (5) years relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of information security principles and best practices. CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, CEH, Security+ or related certification preferred
- Hands-on administration experience with Windows Server and/or UNIX and at least one commercial LDAP
- Hands-on experience managing a variety of security-related systems and platforms
- Strong understanding of security and/or networking protocols and standards such as LDAP, NTFS, AD Group Policies, SAML, SSH, SSL
- Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to operate as part of a team
- Organized, responsive and thorough. Self-directed and methodical with high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff and keep sensitive information confidential
- Ability to work outside core business hours, including nights and weekends, with occasional travel that might require overnight stay
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (occasionally) and/or up to 25 lbs. (frequently)
