Job Description

We are looking for a software developer who will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance native applications that interact with popular Cloud Platforms. You will work with a team of energetic individuals who are passionate about making Rackspace the leading innovator and provider in cloud computing. You will work in a dynamic team environment to develop high quality releases using the agile software development methodology. Passion for software development and quality is a must!

Job Requirements

Required:
- Bachelor,s Degree in Computer Science
- At least three years of professional software development experience
- Object-oriented development experience in C++, including the STL
- Solid interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work as a productive member of a fast-paced, tight-knit team

Desirable:
- Experience with the Boost C++ libraries
- System administration skills on Linux or Windows
- Proficiency in Python software development on Linux platforms, or .NET on Windows
- HTTP/REST development experience
- NoSQL database experience on a platform such as Cassandra or MongoDB
- Experience with multi-threaded applications
- Knowledge of secure programming concepts (eg, cryptography and threat modeling)
- Relational database experience
- Experience in open source development
