Job Description

We are looking for a Software Developer who will be designing and developing software for large-scale cloud-based services. Responsibilities include: Translating functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; Providing estimates for development effort; Implementing proof of concept, prototypes and production-grade software; creating unit and acceptance tests; coordinating sign-off from QA/Test; automating deployment; And assisting Operations and Support staff in trouble-shooting software issues as well as implementing bug fixes.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- At least three years of professional software development experience
- Object-oriented development experience in C++, including the STL
- Solid interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work as a productive member of a fast-paced, tight-knit team

DESIRABLE:

- Experience with the Boost C++ libraries
- System administration skills on Linux or Windows
- Proficiency in Python software development on Linux platforms, or .NET on Windows
- HTTP/REST development experience
- NoSQL database experience on a platform such as Cassandra or MongoDB
- Experience with multi-threaded applications
- Knowledge of secure programming concepts (eg, cryptography and threat modeling)
- Relational database experience
- Experience in open source development
