Position Description:

Business Analyst

This position will work under the general supervision of the Regional Director of Administration. Must be able to work independently and with minimal direction to prepare moderate to complex forecasting, data analysis and performance reporting, and research and resolve internal issues that may impact the processing of business transactions.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating custom, standardized and ad hoc reports using data from proprietary systems and Microsoft tools such as Access and Excel for end-user support.
Requires in-depth experience and relational database knowledge.
This position will take an assigned project from original concept thru final implementation.
Will collaborate with internal clients and functional units to expeditiously resolve problems related to business processes that are moderate to complex in nature.
Will support the sales process by identifying, troubleshooting and investigating data discrepancies and production issues and then initiate corrective action as required and follow up as necessary.

Position Requirements
Requirements:
Knowledge of e-mail, database and reporting software applications is a must
Financial Services industry experience preferred.
Proven success in data mining, analysis and reporting, communication and presentation, customer focus and relationship building and problem solving and decision making.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Access.
o Should know the following within Access: Database design, Tables, Forms, Reports and Queries;
o Should know the following within Excel: Ability to manipulate large spreadsheets, Formatting spreadsheets (presentation quality), Charting, Advanced Pivot Tables, VLookup/HLookup, Nested Functions, Importing External Data from Access and Other Sources, Macros, Sorting, Subtotals and Other Functions.
