The Online and Search Platform technology group provides development and enhancement of core features on a global online platform for web applications used by professionals around the world, some with country-specific customizations. We collaborate with key global commercial and technical groups to define, design, develop and implement a feature for shared use.

In this challenging role, you will partner with strategic business unit technology groups to enable their implementation of the strategic platform solution, commonly referred to as Cobalt. You will work with them to define how they should use Cobalt, assist them in getting started using Cobalt and develop solutions to help them implement their product on Cobalt..
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the business and other technologists to determine the technical design for feature requirements on a global platform including demonstrated ability to work across different work locations and time zones.
- Collaborate with architects and technologists on design decisions and direction for global platform requirements
- Practical experience implementing a solution on Cobalt. May need to assist in developing code to get a partner started using Cobalt or accelerate an implementation.
- Be able to learn or have existing knowledge of iRules.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Recognize and communicate opportunities to add value through the application of new technologies.
- Partner with the Business Unit Cobalt communities to stay current on how BU's are using Cobalt to build applications.
- Broad knowledge of the technologies (Java, .Net, Oracle, etc.) and tools (TRMR, Deploy Engine & process.) used in Cobalt
- Work with multiple partners simultaneously and manage time effectively
- Produce and maintain detailed technical and documentation for Cobalt.
- Present technical concepts and proposals to a wide variety of global audiences including development teams, business partners and senior management
- Consult with project lead on identification of problems and suggest solutions for the resolution of coding issues
- Work with leaders to execute projects to successful delivery
- Knowledge of web architectures including load balancing, session/state management, queueing, caching, performance analysis desirable
- Experience troubleshooting application production issues
- Drive or contribute to and validate implementation strategies in data modeling, data replication, performance and tuning, database and SQL optimization in the Oracle environment
- Proven track record of being able to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelors Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related software technology field, or demonstrated job experience equating to a Bachelors Degree
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the following technologies to research, evaluate, develop and test using
- Java J2EE or based application development
- XML parsing using Java
