MIS is currently seeking a Business Analyst Intern to join the organization. This individual will provide assistance and may act as a liaison among an internal development group, team or product management group in order to assist in understanding the requirements for a given product, process or system. She or He will assist in the collection and analysis of data, reviews basic product needs, instructions, regulations, and begins to document requirements. She or He will assist in communicating the requirements to internal stakeholders. She or He may undertake entry-level requirements testing and/or User Acceptance testing and technical implementation with guidance. In summary, this individual develops an understanding of customer and/or product needs in the context of internal and external requirements for software development information. ResponsibilitiesAssists in eliciting and documenting business requirements.With guidance from experienced colleagues: Outlines improvements and revisions for business processes with guidance from experienced colleagues. Translates business requirement into technical solutions. Uses a structured requirements process to assess needs. Acts as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure change management and communication of change is done systematically for projects Implements improvements to process or products Develops a basic awarenss and understanding of Thomson Reuter's technologies, products, and services including a basic understanding of how technical solutions impact the business.

Qualifications

Qualifications A four-year degree in Management Information Systems or other similar technical or business related field Working knowledge in relevant software applications Ability to contribute to the facilitation of meetings Analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of requirement management best practices.
