In this role, you will collaborate with key business and technical personnel to implement solutions in support of Thomson Reuters Governance, Risk and Compliance product initiatives. We utilize Agile methods and practices, as well as a close, daily cooperation.Key Technologies

- Work on high-profile projects, to design, develop and deliver software on cutting edge and growing platforms in C#/ASP.NET and Java
- Develop web application components using HTML/HTML5, XHTML, Javascript and AJAX
- Develop server based software with REST and XML-based technologies, and architectural patterns like MVC
- Implement OO designs applying working knowledge of design patterns in presentation, data and business modules
- Drive or contribute to implementation strategies in data modeling, data replication, performance and tuning, database and SQL optimization in the SQL Server environment
- Collaborate with architects and lead software engineers on design decisions and direction for web application requirements
- Collaborate with remote development teams to leverage existing applications and infrastructure as well as for ongoing implementation and testing efforts
- Mentor less senior personnel
- Contribute to requirement and design reviews with business partners and other engineers
- Facilitate and fulfill tasks as a member of an agile team, using agile practices (eg peer code reviews and paired programming, Test Driven Development, daily stand up meetings)
- Follow test first TDD practices and other initiatives to build in quality to development deliverables
- Discover new technologies and techniques and adapt to dynamic business requirements
- Provide input on scripts, Applets and automation tools which build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
- Provide input on integration tests for server- and client-side web applications using NUnit .
- Investigate and resolve issues in development, test and production environments

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related software technology field, or demonstrated job experience equating to a Bachelors Degree
- 3-5 years software development related experience
- 1-3 year experience in the following technologies to research, evaluate, develop and test using:
- .NET based application programming
- DHTML/XHTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax
- Web development using REST services
- XML parsing using C#
- IDE & Enterprise Source Code Control tools (eg MS-VS & TFS, SVN)
- Relational database (eg using SQL in SQL Server)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good listening skills; problem solving and the ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once is necessary
- Strong research capabilities are a must
- Ability to develop software expertise quickly
- Quality time management skills a must
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good collaboration skills a must
