Application Developer Specialist (ASP.NET)

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for an Application Developer (ASP.NET) to join our client in Fairfax, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create and deliver data-driven web and stand-alone applications as well as apps for mobile devices.
- Design, develop, and test applications using ASP.NET applications.
- Enhance existing systems by analysing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modifications and improvements.
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
- Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.
- Create technical specifications and test plans.
- Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
- Conducts detailed analyses of defined systems specifications, develops all levels of block diagrams, use case and flow charts.
- Consult closely with management/Team lead and occasionally with clients for tasks related to projects.
- Work closely with database developer in designing and creating proficient queries, stored procedures, views and UDFs.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in systems analysis/application programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the following: ASP.NET 2.0/3.5/4.0, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, T-SQL, WCF, OOP, knowledge of Object Oriented Design patterns, SDLC, MVC, MOSS 2007/2010, IIS 6.0/7.0.
- Experience in developing codes that will comply with the strict DoD IA guidelines with implementation of industry best practices and coding standards
- Knowledge of database ERD, Windows OS, multi-tier architecture, code repository tools, ie, Visual Source Safe, CVS, Team Foundation and familiarity with CMMI.
