Job Description: Application Managed Services/Hosting SME

CGI is seeking an experienced Managed Services/Application Hosting/AMS (Application Managed Services) Capture Support Engineer to develop and deliver presentations to C-level State and Local governments, including existing customers of our ERP application as well as potential new customers, explaining the value proposition around managed application services (eg production operations/maintenance/DR/infrastructure) for an enterprise-wide business application solution.

- The candidate will brief the C level client audience on industry trends and key considerations either in advance of a procurement effort and/or as part of framing an unsolicited proposal to (preferably) develop a sole source opportunity with an existing customer.
- They will determine the customer's/prospect's challenges and associated drivers against which a managed service value proposition can be mapped.
- Create interest/demand so that the customer/prospect engages CGI in a Proof of Concept (POC), participates in capturing data for the development of a business case, and agrees to sponsor the initiative based on target outcomes.
- Identify the customers/prospects pricing and financial objectives while developing a trusted relationship and subsequently participating in the strategy for successfully positioning the resulting managed service within the state/local government.
- Convince the customer/prospect through the POC that managed services presents a preferred deployment model (vs. onsite, client application management).
- Engage with the customer/prospect in framing the requisite business case for the managed service, determining the associated messaging, and supporting the presentation of the case to other key, senior stakeholders.
- Support the socialization of the managed services value proposition to second-level stakeholders across the customers/prospects organization.
- Ultimately, work with the customer/prospect to refine the solution by successfully negotiating the complex business terms associated with a multi-year, multi-million dollar managed services agreement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years minimum experience working in/with application managed services, preferably not only in selling it, but having direct exposure to delivery. (Application Hosting)
- At least general familiarity with the State & Local government industry and/or ERP applications/solutions.
- Strong presentation and consulting skills, particularly with senior client executives.
- Proven presentation development and written communication skills showing an ability to structure and simplify the explanation of complex concepts and value propositions.
- Possession of a charismatic personality that engages clients in a dialogue, quickly builds trust, and reflects a passion/enthusiasm for this domain that is contagious and reassuring.
- Understanding and experience in underlying technologies, practices, and concepts related to managed services and solution hosting (standards, certifications, norms, service level agreements, disaster recovery, etc.).
- Must be able to quickly establish credibility around CGI's competency and proficiency in this discipline.
- Must be able to diplomatically yet convincingly respond to challenges and impediments senior client executives (IT and business) may raise to managed services.
- Must understand and be effective at relationship selling (as opposed to software/solution selling)
- Exposure to Managed Services contracting for an enterprise solution/product
- Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint presentation development, but including Word and Excel. Visio and MS Project familiarity are desirable.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
