Business Analyst - Business Analysis, Federal Government HR Syst Business Analyst If you are a Business Analyst with experience, please read on! We pay an hourly rate of $70-$72 per hour. Must have a Public Trust clearance. We are seeking a data centric Senior Business Analyst (SBA). This position will work at a strategic level with all levels of business and technical subject matter experts in the elicitation, modeling, documentation and management of data and business and systems requirements. The analyst will use their extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and business analysis best practices to facilitate requirements sessions and communicate clearly and effectively with end-users, senior business managers and other team members. The Senior Business Analyst will be accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure the appropriate collection of data; documentation of information; and presentation of findings. The SBA will provide ad-hoc query support, create reports, and provide support to users who use the Business Intelligence tools. The primary work location will be in Washington DC with some travel to Rockville and Fairfax. This is a contract to hire position.
What you need for this position:
-Public Trust or Secret clearance
-Minimum 8 years overall experience and an advanced degree.
-At least Three (3) years†experience as a Data Analyst or Decision Support Analyst. -Must have strong foundation in Business Intelligence Tools, Decision Support Systems, OLAP Technology, Multi-dimensional Data, and Data Cubes; ie; Business Objects XI, Crystal Reports XI, Informatica 9.x.
-Strong background in Statistical Data Analysis. Must possess strong query language skills (SQL, PL/SQL etc.) with Oracle 10g or above. At least 2 years†experience with query language (SQL, PL/SQL etc.) with Oracle 10g, 11g
-Strong, end-to-end understanding and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
What you'll be doing:
-Provide Ad-Hoc Query Support: This activity involves helping customers and stakeholders with ad-hoc data calls. It can include custom report generation, data analysis, and the creation of temporary, custom data marts.
-Recurring Data Quality Reports: This activity involves generation of bi-weekly data quality reports to data providers.
-Provide Data Analysis Tools Support: Provide guidance and technical support to customers and stakeholders who want to use the Business Intelligence tools provided (assisting with configuration, and providing overviews of the tools).
-Create database queries (SQL, PL/SQL etc.) with Oracle 11g and other databases
-Using Business Objects and similar reporting tools creates scheduled and ad hoc reports, and develops reports according to the software development lifecycle
