Job Description: Helpdesk Analyst - Top Secret + CI Poly Required
CGI Federal is seeking an entry level Helpdesk Analyst with an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance to join our project team in Fairfax, VA, that has been tasked with implementing and improving our client's new financial management system using our Momentum Financials® software. As a Helpdesk Analyst, you will be providing Tier I help desk support to users and testing for changes to the financial management system.
Top candidates for this position will possess a fully adjudicated TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance, will be flexible to work in the Northern Virginia region onsite with our client, and will have 0-2 year's relevant IT systems functional analysis, requirements design, test development, and test execution experience. Previous experience working with Momentum Financials or other financial system (ie: SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials) is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth and high level, telephone support to end user community on software problems.
- Provide step by step procedures to resolve user issues over the telephone and record resolution in a Help Desk system.
- Track trouble tickets in the Help Desk System, take problem ownership and work toward high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and/or modify procedures to solve frequent problems within supported systems.
- Analyze business and user needs, update and/or document requirements, and revise existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Participate in customer work sessions to gather and document requirements.
- Translate business requirements into test scripts; execute tests against developed systems, and document results.
- Find and log system defects using software tools, including steps required to repeat, and track defects to closure.
- Develop subject matter expertise for assigned components.
- Provide subject matter expertise in support of technical activities.
Position Requirements:
- US Citizenship and an active Top Secret with CI polygraph security clearance
- A four year Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 0-2 years of relevant IT experience performing systems functional analysis, requirements design, test development, and test execution experience in a similar type of role
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- An ability to work onsite with our client and CGI Federal team Monday through Friday in Fairfax, VA
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with or experience with ITIL based service management processes
- Self-starter with initiative and aptitude to quickly learn and put new skills to use.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Experience with Financial Management Systems or Business Applications
- Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries.
- Ability and initiative to set goals and execute The Helpdesk Analyst selected for hire must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance to meet client security requirements for this opportunity.
