Job Description: IT Business Analyst
The Healthcare and Compliance group at CGI Federal is looking for IT Business Analysts to be part of a large team in a dynamic and changing environment. Projects include delivering technology and application management services for mission critical applications and infrastructure in the federal healthcare space.
Federal healthcare is moving to a more cost-effective shared services model to remove silos and to leverage applications and platforms across multiple organizations. CGI provides healthcare departments and agencies with in-depth functional and technical expertise to adopt these strategies and to offer clients a focused set of solutions that help federal health organizations become more productive, cost-effective, secure and service-oriented.
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for providing professional and effective technical consulting services to client organizations while performing the functions and supporting overall quality management of the project.
Specific responsibilities include:
-Manage Service Level reporting showing Service Level Targets/Service Level Objectives in respect to the Service Level Agreement.
-Must have experience with UNIX (scripts or commands)
-Measure the SLAs per the schedule and generate the Service Level Reports
-Work with the Quality Assurance team to manage the standardization of all templates for the Service Level Management process.
-Assist the Quality Manager and Project Manager to verify Back End SLA agreements, pertinent to the client facing SLAs, are established (eg, OLAs, Underpinning Contracts)
-Building strong relationships with Internal and external IT service groups, and other ITIL processes, in particular Contract management, Change Management, Incident Management and of course IT Service Management.
-Participate in Service Level reviews working with internal teams and the client to advise on modifications, additions, and removal of Service Levels.
-Ability to provide Level 1 Help Desk support and complete initial troubleshooting diagnosis in HIM application architecture utilizing LAMP stack technologies.
-Receives and handles incidents for support following agreed upon processes and procedures
-Provides information to enable problem resolution and allocates unresolved incidents as appropriate
-Attend and contribute to client and internal meetings
-Understand work plan activities, and provide accurate status on work completion
-Estimate task time requirements and plan accordingly
-Understand and work within task scope
-Prioritize tasks
-Identify and communicate issues in a timely manner
Requirements:
-Must have a Bachelor's degree
-Must have 1-3 years experience as a business analyst working within a project context
-Must have strong experience with SLA's (Service Level Agreements)
-Must have experience with UNIX (scripts or commands)
-Experience working on large integrated project teams following structured methodologies for project management, business process transformation, and organizational change management
-Familiar with Quality Assurance Planning including surveillance planning utilizing Key Performance Indicators to measure Service Levels
-Excellent communications and relationship building skills
-Proven ability to work independently and with others depending on the assigned tasks
-Proven ability to produce quality deliverables within aggressive timelines
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
-Familiar with ITIL processes
-Experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) stack technology
-Experience with operations support of web based applications
-Proficiency with office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Must be able to successfully pass/complete a CGI background check to start employment
-U.S. citizenship required
