Job Description: Technical Analyst

The Tier 2 Technical Analyst maintains the day-to-day operations of key technologies for the service line multi-tenant development, non-production, and production-computing platforms in the CGI Business Solutions Group.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supports Delivery and Client Teams to deliver timely and effective support of client Momentum environments ensuring the application technical architecture aligns with CGI technologies-
- Automated Application lifecycle support for virtual application Servers and appliances. Application support to include monitoring and capacity planning.-
- Adopts subject matter expert role for service line key technologies: WebLogic, Tuxedo, WebMethods and Microsoft operating systems, Application clustering solutions, Oracle SQL and others.
- Help define how new technologies are used in the "Platform".- Provides leadership to application teams to ensure architecture meets environment security, audit compliance, performance requirements.-
- Reviewing, editing and writing documentation as it relates to configuration management and good business process and procedures
- Attending regularly scheduled team and client meetings- Must be available and participate in a weekly on-call schedule rotation
- Expected to contribute and maintain team knowledge base wiki site.
Essential Skills Required
B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience installing and configuring : J2EE application servers, WebLogic, Tuxedo, WebMethods and Apache a plus.
Oracle experience a plus.
Experience in solution architecture and design demonstrating the use of innovative technology and cost effect solutions-
Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, ability to provide creative solutions to problems and must possess excellent troubleshooting skills,

Must be results-oriented and customer-focused
Understanding of configuration management concepts and disciplines
Demonstrated ability to meet commitments in a distributed IT project environment
