DBA Manager - SQL Server, Database Development, SSIS DBA Manager Based very close to beautiful Coconut Creek, Florida, we are an award winning software development company that leads the way in building financial trading applications. This position reports to the VP of Data Services and will partner with the Managers of Application Development to facilitate and support development activities for these groups. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who really enjoys being technically hands on with SQL Server and who is a great manager of other DBA's/Database Engineers. What you need for this position:

- Minimum 8 years database and SQL experience, at least 5 of which must be in environments with complex, multi-gigabyte databases for E-commerce applications.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years experience in a production/Development 24x7x365 database environment.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience of other DBA's/Database Engineers.
- Professional experience with SQL Server (†SS†) 2005, SS2008, SS2012, Analysis Services and Integration services.
- TSQL, Powershell, SSIS/BIDS, SSMA, SQL 2005, SQL 2008, SQL 2012, SQL/Windows clustering.
- Merge/Transactional Replication, Mirroring.
- Helpful experiences include: Professional experience in Lending or Financial Services, E-Commerce.
- Solid to expert knowledge of SS2005/2008 architecture and security model.
- Fluency with appropriate tools including SQL Management Studio, Query Analyzer, Profiler, Performance Monitor and other SQL Server management tools as well as the entire Microsoft Office suite.

What you'll be doing:

- Provide direct management of a team of database developers.
- Manage a team of 4 SQL Server Production DBA's.
- Perform SQL code reviews during key points of the SDLC and enforce compliance with SQL coding and data modeling standards.
- Implementing maintaining SQL server 2008/2012 Merge/Transactional replication.
- Monitoring and maintaining multiple production SQL Servers on single/clustered 2005/2008/2012 environments.
- Provide 24/7 production support on an on-call rotation basis.
- Facilitate the support of customer data security policies using encryption, views, hardware, software and other techniques to minimize the profile of highly sensitive data either static in data stores or while in transit.
- Oversee the troubleshooting of performance problems in production, during development and QA testing to provide possible solutions and/or fixes.
- Work with Application Development Managers to insure levels of support from database developers is adequate to support the product development team.
- Enhance and facilitate communication between development and production DBAs.
