Sr.Project Manager Makes a Difference by being accountable for the coordination and integration of project activities across multiple, functional lines in order to develop, execute and manage to the project plan. The Project Manager is responsible for delivery of the project on schedule, within budget and to expected project outcomes. The Project Manager is expected to lead small to medium size projects of 2 to 15 team members. Sr. Project Manager is expected to lead medium to large size projects of over 15 team members.
Sr.Project Manager Gets It Done by:
- Project/Client Management
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Effectively set and manage Client expectations.
- Ensure coordination and communication across all areas of the project.
- Define, understand and take into account the cross-project dependencies and their impact to their individual project.
- Manage the project in compliance with the project management standards for the Project/Program.
- Define the specific methods and tools to be used to complete project activities as required.
- Effectively apply internal methodologies and enforce project standards while offering suggested improvements.
- Identify and communicate any additional sales opportunities to the TriZetto Program Manager/Director and/or Client Services Lead.
- Establish and maintain a productive and positive working relationship with the Client team and management.
- Seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and deepen Client relationship.
- Conduct and support all required Project Reviews.
- Function as the TriZetto single point of accountability for completion of the project and its associated outcomes.
- Contract/Scope Management
- Manage the project in compliance with contract scope, terms and conditions.
- Manage project scope and invoke change control as needed due to scope changes. Inform the TriZetto Program Manager/Director of any scope changes to the project and associated impacts to cost, schedule, and/or quality. Adhere to the change control process defined for the Program.
- Develop and manage individual Project Change Requests (PCRs) thru the change control process.
- Financial/Time Management
- Manage project budget and control expenditures against the budget.
- Provide frequent (at least monthly) budget updates for their project to the TriZetto Program Manager/Director and/or Client Services Lead. The budget updates are to include reforecasts for the remaining work and the associated variance to the original budget for the project.
- Proactively address project variances with the TriZetto Program Manager/Director and Client.
- Review and approve TriZetto team member actual hours, expenses and estimates-to-complete (ETCs) for the project.
- Review and approve TriZetto invoices as defined by the TriZetto Program Manager/Director.
- Schedule/Work Plan Management
- Create, update and maintain the work plan for the project including specific deliverables, timelines, tasks, dependencies and resource assignments.
- Incorporate cross-project dependencies into project work plans.
- Define and track completion of project deliverables ideally thru the use of a Deliverables Management Summary matrix.
- Resource Management
- Direct and manage all TriZetto team members on the project.
- Ensure each team member is clear on their associated role, responsibilities, deliverables and budgeted hours for the project.
- Define the required skill set for each role on the project and facilitate assignment of qualified resources for each role in partnership with the TriZetto Program Director.
- Address TriZetto resource issues on the project and inform the TriZetto Program Director to assist with resolution of these issues.
- Ensure team members are effectively on-boarded and off-boarded to the team.
- Provide feedback to team members including timely creation (upon on-boarding) and completion of Project Performance Evaluations (PPEs) for each team member.
- Deliverables Management
- Ensure completion of project deliverables. Address issues with TriZetto deliverables per the terms of the contract and/or as agreed upon with the Client.
- Review key deliverables prepared by project team before passing to the Client.
- Ensure Client signoff of project deliverables as agreed-upon with the Client and the TriZetto Program Director.
- Ensure all project documents are stored and managed thru the defined document repository to be used by the project.
- Quality Management
- Adhere to the quality management standards for the project/Program.
- Oversee the quality of deliverables produced by the team members. Address individual quality issues with the team members and the Client.
- Risk Management
- Adhere to the risk management protocols for the project/Program.
- Identify, track and manage risks to the project including defining mitigation strategies and contingency plans as required.
- Minimize exposure and risk to the project.
- Communication/Status Management
- Hold weekly status meetings with project team
- Provide a weekly project status report to the TriZetto Program Manager/Director.
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to Management.
- Participate in Steering Committee Meetings whenever possible.
- Ensure project team is informed of all relevant project/program changes.
- Keep TriZetto Program Manager/Director apprised of current Program status, issues and risks.
- Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members and TriZetto management.
- Issues Management
- Escalate and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- Ensure adherence to a clear issues management process as defined for the Program or project.
- Track, manage and resolve project issues.
- Lead meetings to review project issues on a weekly basis.
- Escalate critical issues to facilitate timely resolution and to minimize project risk.
- Acceptance Management
- Facilitate the definition of the Acceptance criteria for the project.
- Facilitate with the Client the definition of Project success .
- Provide leadership and direction to define the detailed Cut-Over plan for migration to production.
Sr.Project Manager is able to Get It Done because he or she has the following qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent work experience considered.
- Care Management or equivalent experience.
- PMP Preferred.
- 5+ years in a project operations role or serving as a Jr. PM or functional manager with project leadership responsibilities
- PMI Membership & basic knowledge of project management processes and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Team Management
- Ability to manage through influence by building and sustaining strong interpersonal relationships
- Ability to establish team goals
- Computer Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Other Abilities
