Job Description: IT Subject Matter Expert - TS

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal! CGI is seeking an IT Subject Matter Expert to support DoD in Fort Meade, MD. This role will support this DoD agency's Telecom Engineering Integration and Architecture (TEIA) effort. The selected candidate will provide expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.

Principal Responsibilities:

- This position requires the ability to obtain and retain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required
- Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
- Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
- Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated.
- Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
- Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.

REQUIRED
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

- Minimum of a DoD Top Secret clearance is required
- 8 years of expertise s in a particular area of Information Technology (eg, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management), or a specific functional area.
- Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree is preferred or must possess at least eight years of experience in lieu of degree
