Put your years of experience into a future with CGI. CGI is seeking a Unified Communications SME to support DoD's Engineering Integration and Architecture (TEIA) effort. This position is responsible for a wide variety of highly detailed and complex program activities.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provides technical leadership in the pursuit of complex unified capabilities and related network technology projects for Unified Capabilities which include Real Time Services such as voice and video converged with data applications end-to-end over hybrid Ckt Switched and IP Networks. This type of support includes:
1. Network architecture planning
2. General analyses on network interoperability topologies, technologies, interfaces, and protocols
3. Transport technology
4. Business consultation including organizational alignment, business process development and business case development
5. Network testing
6. Network security
7. Network reliability
8. Prototyping and development of network solutions
9. Communications-focused software engineering or software development
- Provides technical lead management responsibilities for specific technology are associated with network architectures, ie, network-architecture engineering and in-depth analyses on network interoperability and integration.
- Provides lead specialty engineering and in-depth analyses on network interoperability, topologies, technologies, interfaces, and protocols; and leadership in defining and pursuing unified capabilities-related network technology research and development projects of significant complexity, requiring considerable originality and ingenuity. Initiates and carries out independent work on specific tasks associated with the implementation of specific aspects of network technology projects.
- Manages the implementation of specific aspects of network architecture planning.
- Capable of independent original work on specific tasks associated with one or more knowledge areas identified above.
- Supervises a team of specialty engineers working on highly complex network architecture projects.
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Must possess an ACTIVE DoD Top Secret clearance- Candidate will possess in-depth knowledge in multiple areas of unified capabilities (UC) services and network infrastructures that support UC services
- Demonstrated technical leadership and in-depth analysis capability in at least one of the following areas:
1. Network architecture planning
2. General analyses on network interoperability topologies, technologies, interfaces, and protocols
3. Transport technology
4. Business consultation including organizational alignment, business process development and business case development
5. Network testing
6. Network security
7. Network reliability
8. Prototyping and development of network solutions
9. Communications-focused software engineering or software development
- Direct experience and expertise with DISA systems and processes.
DESIRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred or must possess at least eight years of experience in lieu of degree
