Linux Administrator

Company in Smyrna area (Powers Ferry/285) seeks an experienced Linux Administrator. Company will hire Contract to Perm.

The Linux Administrator position is a key role in the Data Center Services organization. As a member of the technical team, the incumbent's primary responsible will be RHEL 4 & 5 server installation, configuration, security, maintenance and administration. Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to ensuring the IBM TSM backup infrastructure and the NetIQ server monitoring infrastructures are up and running and fully operational. There will also be a need to learn and take on responsibility for the SharePoint environment. 

This is a hands-on position that requires intimate knowledge of enterprise class infrastructure technologies. The Linux Administrator is recognized as a SME (subject matter expert) for specific infrastructure technologies. This position directly supports and interfaces with peers, internal business units, clients, 3rd parties, and vendors. 

Experience level is intermediate.
