Software Development Engineer

Our client’s, platform combines patented protection technology with comprehensive monitoring and analytics software to help companies safeguard and optimize the performance, productivity, and usable life of the electronics that power today’s digital world.

They have an immediate need for a Software Development Engineer. This position will be responsible for contributing significantly to the design and delivery of clients’ software offerings in the areas of client, server and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in preparation of software specifications.
• Design and implement under the guidance of the Software Architect application software for clients’ product offering.
• Collaborate with test engineers to write software test cases and plans.
• Design and implement manual and automated unit tests.
• Research, debug and rectify software defects found in testing or in the field.
• Prepare and maintain designs and documentation.
• Follow and improve R&D processes.

Requirements/Desired experience:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
• 3+ years with relative work experience in software development of Client Server applications and mobile development
• Experience with Andriod and iOS application design, development and deployment required.
• Experience in a structured development environment as part of a team of software engineers, developers and testers required.
• Experience with source control systems required (Starteam preferred)
• Technical proficiency in Java, Objective-C and related languages required.
• Development experience with network-centric applications, involving http/https, REST, SOAP, XML/JSON required
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills required.
• Effective and collaborative verbal and written communication a must.
• Strong team spirit a necessity.
