Our client needs an Application Development Manager to direct up to ten developers in a business-to-consumer web development environment. This is a permanent placement engagement in a mid-sized, but fast growing Richmond-based company.
The right candidate will have a strong technical background in a .NET environment. This I.T. department is evolving. Early duties will be more hands-on direction, some architecture, code review and high level direction of subordinate developers. As the environment evolves, duties will become less hands-on and more management oriented. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to also have their career evolve from technical into management.
A strong candidate will have experience with both the waterfall and Agile Scrum SDLC models. Most development is done with Agile, but larger, new applications may utilize waterfall or a combination of both. You should have experience with VB.Net, C#, ASP. Net, MVC Razor, SQL Server 2008R2. You should have proven experience with business-to-consumer, high volume transactional web solutions that support the full array of browsers, tablets and mobile devices.
