In this position, the engineer supports software design and implementation for military and civil aircraft Flight Management Systems (FMS). In this role, you will utilize your problem solving skills under the guidance of senior engineers. This role requires the ability to solve moderately complex problems in a defined scope, and resolve issues through immediate action and/or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:
- Create processes and scripts to generate software builds
- Verify the integrity of software builds
- Develop, enhance, and maintain project Work Instructions for software builds and Software Configuration Management (SCM)
- Develop SCM expertise and utilize expertise to support project software teams
- Identify, evaluate, and occasionally develop engineering tools and processes necessary to meet the project's engineering and business goals
- Provide timely communications on issues or developments relevant to assigned tasks, maintaining a focus on safety and reliability
- Conduct Problem Report (PR) investigation and resolution
- Conduct process modelling activities, related to Software Configuration Management (SCM), to improve engineers' experience with CM (Configuration Management) tools
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline in Software Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of Software Engineering Experience or related technical experience
