Currently, we have an immediate need for a Network Administrator/Engineer with a strong focus on Networks. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
What you need for this position:
- 5+ years experience in a Network Administrator or Engineer role
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies: Switching, Routing, Cabling, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, PRI Telephony, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning-Tree, VPN, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, Netflow, iSCSI, Fiber optics, MPLS, etc.
- Experience monitoring and maintaining DNS and WINS infrastructures.
- Experience managing multiple datacenters across a WAN.
- Experience working on technical projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and the MS Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of server and PC hardware.
- Must be able to write detailed requirements documentation, test plans, and project work estimates.
What you'll be doing:
- Install, manage and daily operational support activities on network equipment.
- Design, implement, and maintain data connectivity for corporate LAN and WAN systems.
- Optimize current network architecture for all company datacenters to meet current and future business needs.
- Monitor overall corporate LAN and WAN network health including availability, link saturation, traffic statistics, and remote site connectivity.
- Monitor, review, and report on network security logs and IDS infrastructure for security policy violations and attacks.
- Manage VoIP traffic and a VoIP phone system.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware, software, telecom equipment, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
- Document and maintain network infrastructure environment diagrams.
- Document and maintain network infrastructure procedures and process documentation.
- Act as primary contact for all network related issues and projects and provided proper training and knowledge sharing for backup team members.
- Work with IT Systems Administrators to act as a backup on various server and application systems.
