Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, self starting individual to join our technology team. As a Sr. Software Engineer (Windows C++), you will be involved in the entire software lifecycle from helping finalize specifications, to architecting designs, to coding software. As part of our Agile software engineering team, you will be developing the next generation of desktop applications for the legal industry.

This position requires a candidate who is highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision. Successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative, customer-centric Windows desktop applications
- Implement and design software components, file and database formats
- As part of an Agile team to produce maintainable, high quality code while meeting project milestones
- As part of an Agile team, collaborate with architects and lead software engineers on design decisions and direction for application requirements
- Contribute to requirement and design reviews with business partners and other engineers
- Research and provide recommendations for enhancements and deploy software components
- Track, document, and correct defects and product design phases

Qualifications

Required Skills:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of C++ development experience
- 3+ years of experience with MFC, the Windows API
- 2+ years of experience with SQL
- 3+ years of experience developing Windows desktop applications
- Excellent skills in communicating and writing code as part of a team

Desired Skills:
- Experience using Visual Studio 2010 and TFS
- Experience writing in C# and .NET
- Experience using XML and XSL transforms
- Experience writing, debugging and optimizing SQL database queries is a plus
- Experience with COM
