SUMMARY:
Claim IT is in search of a self-motivated, associate information engineer to join the team. This individual will work with the Claim Application and Environmental Optimization team to coordinate application performance testing and implement monitoring and alerting solutions for Claim applications. The candidate for this role needs to have a background that includes Host, Distributed, or Performance testing experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with the project management team, solution architects, development, and Performance Engineering to coordinate application performance testing.
- Reviews existing workloads to make recommendations for application tuning options that can potentially improve performance or resource usage.
- Communicates performance results and concerns with project teams and management; escalates performance issues or concerns to senior management as needed.
- Makes recommendations improve the Claim APM processes, procedures, and standards.
- Works to implement new application monitoring tools and application monitors for various Claim Applications.

OTHER:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline required.
- Superior written communication, verbal communication, and facilitation skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience that includes Host, Distributed, or Performance testing experience. - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment across matrixed organization
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint, Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of the following distributed skills: Windows, IIS, MQCLIENT, DB2Client, .NET (VB), ASP, XML, Scripting languages - including Perl, VB, Windows Batch files, Active Directory, Shares, SQL2005, HTML
- Working knowledge of the following HOST Mainframe skills: IMS, DB2, CICS, ISPF, MQ, Mainview, Endevor, and Cobol programming
- Knowledge of Application Performance and Monitoring tools (Mainview, Perfmon, HP Loadrunner, HP SiteScope, Proactive Net, Patrol, and Dynatrace) is desirable but not required
