BI Consultant - Visual Studio, .NET, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, MCP BI Consultant We are a continually growing consulting firm in the Hartford area voted year over year on the "best places to work CT" list! We are looking for a Microsoft BI consultant to join our consulting team and work with our clients in the New England area to design, develop and implement BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with custom applications on the Microsoft platforms working in a consultative fashion.

What you need for this position:
- 3+ years of implementing custom applications on the Microsoft platform
2+ years of implementing BI solutions on the Microsoft platform with significant experience and hands-on use of SQL Server Analysis Services (Building cubes, creating calculated members, writing MDX expressions, etc.), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Specific experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010, .NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5/4.0 and ASP.NET 2.0
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007/2010 and/or PerformancePoint Server 2007
- Familiarity with Windows 2008 operating system, its security model, and IIS.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- Microsoft MCSD, MCAD. MCTS or MCP certification is a plus
What you'll be doing:
- You will provide application development and Business Intelligence skills for the successful delivery of Microsoft BI platform solutions. You will work directly with clients and project teams under the guidance/direction of an application architect with a focus on developing the solution. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn new technologies, demonstrate existing skills and exhibit strong problem solving and critical analysis
-Utilize expertise with Visual Studio 2008/2010, .NET Framework 3.5/4, and SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2 to deliver solutions built on Microsoft BI platform technologies (SharePoint, SQL Server, etc.).
- Work with partners and clients to develop an overall solution vision and effectively communicate initiatives with the entire project team.
- Work with diverse and distributed teams in a collaborative manner regardless of assigned role or reporting lines.
- Capture, integrate, communicate, educate, and apply the knowledge, experiences, and lessons-learned that are acquired from each engagement.
