Description
Key Role:
Analyze system requirements and support design and development activities for complex systems. Maintain responsibility for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans and designs into existing systems. Perform technical engineering and system administration to support development, testing, and operational computing environments. Provide support using DoD IA policies and procedures for computer systems, disk subsystems, and networks. Provide system administration-level Linux and progressively advanced expertise required to support complex large-scale systems, including Linux clusters. Manage quality of service levels, IA patches, defective nodes, hardware and software upgrades, and user problems stemming from hardware and software issues.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:-5+ years of experience with Linux products, supporting enterprise Red Hat Linux-5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, and supporting VMware ESX environments, Linux-based package management, UNIX Shell scripting, including BASH, and Perl scripting-Knowledge of storage technologies, including iSCSI, SAN, NAS, and RAID and I/O storage sub-systems-Knowledge of application hosting technologies, including Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss-Knowledge of big data or Cloud architecture applications, including Hadoop, HBASE, or HDFS-Active TS/SCI clearance-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:-Experience as a systems engineer in programs encompassing systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test, and transition into operations-Experience with configuration management in designing, implementing, and administering, including Chef and Puppet-Experience with programming and troubleshooting errors related to application code-Experience with administering network firewall, routing, switching, and load balancing technologies using Cisco, Juniper, and F5 networks-Experience with administering Microsoft Servers and Active Directory and supporting enterprise Microsoft Windows and Active Directory environments-Experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Postgres, and Oracle database administration-CISSP or Security + Certification
Clearance:
