Network Operations Engineer for large Internet company Network Operations Engineer World leader in web technologies is looking for the next great NOC Engineer. You will be part of an operations team that manages, monitors, and maintains the deployed Servers and switches, perform software installation and configuration, develop tools and scripts, and manage other deployment related projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Diagnose troubles identified by network monitoring and working to resolve issues.
-Monitor, troubleshoot & correct server and network problems and live network broadcasting issues.
-Work with various third parties (Engineers, System Architects, Infrastructure Vendors, Customers, Developers) to narrow down problems and achieve resolution.
-Clearly and effectively document information in the trouble ticket system for communication to other staff, open tickets and follow up on escalated problems.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
-MUST HAVE a minimum SECURITY CLEARANCE - Top Secret
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with TCP/IP networks, connections, wiring and cabling, and network management.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with fault detection, trouble ticketing, escalation and other related operational concepts and processes.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with UNIX-based operating systems.
- Programming ability in Perl or Python a plus.
