Description

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for the technical administration, design, planning, implementation, and recovery procedures for mission critical infrastructure systems. Serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Investigate and analyze feasibility of system requirements and develop system specifications. Identify methods and solutions and provide project leadership in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Determine root cause analysis across multiple complex technologies, provide detailed written or oral feedback, and leverage professional level technical troubleshooting experience with server hardware and software. Apply experience with upgrading server OSs, tech refresh, imaging, patch management, antivirus management, and security certificate install and renewal. Lead small projects associated with deploying IT infrastructure, perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and perform recovery and restoration of servers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with Windows Systems administration or Linux, including RHEL 5 or 6 administration
-2+ years of experience with Vmware ESX-ESXi administration
-Experience with security audit logging and system configuration documentation
-Experience with server administration for Windows, Linux, VMware, and ESXi, including system hardening, system patching, backup and restore, system imaging, and log management
-Ability to provide afterhours support
-BA or BS degree in EE or CS

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) SAN administration and Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) administration
-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and McAfee Enterprise Antivirus and Antispyware
-Experience with clustering and load balancing technologies and server virtualization solutions
-Experience with LDAP or other directory services
-Experience with supporting Wikis, Blogs, and other Web 2.0 technology platforms
-Experience with compiling and presenting technical architectures to both technical and non-technical audiences
-Experience with implementing and configuring NFS and SMB in a mixed environment
-Experience with logical volume management, RAID, NAS, SAN, HBAs, and multipathing
-Experience with Active Directory User, Group, and GPO management
-Ability to research and solve problems independently and provide high-quality customer service
-Ability to lift 35-50lbs
-Possession of excellent time management skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-CCNA Certification
