Systems Engineer needed for exciting opportunity Systems Engineer Located in Chantilly, VA, we are a results driven, employee owned professional services company who provide worldclass technology expertise, software solutions and systems integration services to companies here in the U.S. and throughout the world. We are currently searching for a Systems Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of network and systems components.
-Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
-Makes recommendations, if needed, on test and evaluation strategies for major systems installations.
-Analyzes, designs, tests, and evaluates systems such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems ranging from connection between two offices in the same building to globally distributed networks.
-Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning including research related products and make necessary hardware, network, and system recommendations.
-Identify and analyze all or part of a component†s existing or new peripheral, network, telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.
-Work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians, architects, and management in the design, testing, and evaluation of systems.
-Test and evaluate hardware and network systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system, and make purchase recommendations.
-Develop analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM SECURITY CLEARENCE: TS/SCI - CI Poly
-Systems Engineering
-Multivendor and multiprotocol network environments, to include but not limited to: Cisco, Juniper, Firewalls, MPLS, IP v4 & v6, SONET, OSPF, QoS, VPNs, DNS, HTTPS, SSH.
-Working knowledge of Data Warehousing
-Working knowledge of Web Technologies
-Technical Writing and documentation.
-COOP Planning
-Possess ITIL V2 Practitioner/V3 Intermediate Certification or be enrolled in ITIL Intermediate course(s). RE-SYSHRVA12, CyberCoders
