Android System Integration Validation Engineer - 720090
Description
The PCCG Client Software and Solutions (CSS) Organization, Platform Systems and Validation (PSIV) team is seeking a System Integration and Validation engineer who can perform systems level validation on Client and Tablet platforms running multi-OS's, including Android, Windows, and Chrome within a cross GEO team. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Side by side working with engineering groups across Intel, tire 1 OEM/ODMs and key HW/SW vendors, focus on technical challenge of Android based system integration and validation, to ensure the total solution meets customer requirements including connected standby, responsiveness, power, thermal, performance, usage and user experience.
- Hands on testing and solving complex system issues cross different integration layers like HW, FW, BIOS, EC, OS, Drivers, tools and Apps.
- Leading debug efficiently and effectively. Drive bug fixes through engineering change requests.
- Defining and developing innovative testing tools to improve the test coverage and efficiency.
- Exploration and implementation of new system integration methodologies and technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with more than2 years of experience in Software Validation and/or System Integration, with direct experience on Android based systems.
- 1+ years of experience working with Intel architecture and computer peripherals
- 1+ years of experience with Linux and/or Android based system design and architecture
- Exposure to all layers of an Android OS Platform - Kernel, Middleware, Framework & Apps
- Hands on debug experience of complex IA system issues involving BIOS, Drivers, Firmware, and OSs, including Android and Microsoft Windows
- 1+ years of programming experience involving C/C++, and others Scripting language like Java, Perl, Python
- Excellent logic thinking, communication and planning skills
- Solid understanding about the system integration process, challenges, and best known methods of solving system integration issues
Preferred Skills:
- Experience validating the total solution with ultra-thin mobile devices
- Exposure to a multi-OS environment (Linux, Windows, Android and etc), hardware development, common interface modules and protocols, such as GPS, 3G/4G, USB, SATA, PCI-E
- Exposure to existing Intel Architecture like assembly language instructions, virtualization and SSE usage.
- Debug experience on System on Chip involving graphics, video encoder, decoder.
- Knowledge of Graphics/Video driver development on Linux like operating systems, USB architecture and device driver and Interrupt processing and sensor integration.
- Linux Kernel debug experience.
