Description
Develops software as the primary job function; Designs, develops, debugs & tests complex software in any field eg, systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web. May work directly with companies developing and optimizing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies. Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computational Science.
Qualifications
M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent is required, and a PhD is a plus.
1+ years of work or educational experience in coding in C or C++ on Linux is required
Academic background or experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
OS Kernel architecture and driver development in Linux or Windows .
Working with the Linux open source community and open source tools, eg, git, submitting patches, etc.
Knowledge of HPC clustered systems and high-speed interconnects, such as InfiniBand.
Knowledge of HPC clustered systems runtimes, such as MPI and PGAS languages and runtimes.
Knowledge of cloud computing applications and runtimes, such as Hadoop and Memcached .

Join Intel's Software and Services group working on OS Kernel and user space runtimes to support high-speed interconnects used in HPC clusters systems and cloud computing. The successful candidate will develop OS and/or user space runtime software for Linux and/or Microsoft windows. The candidate may work with the Linux open source community through organizations such as the Open Fabrics alliance to deliver the S/W to the ecosystem. The candidate may also work with internal groups within Intel to develop and deliver software for Intel products.
