Job responsibilities
As a software engineer part of our small firmware team, you will be responsible for firmware pathfinding, design, development and debug of novel technologies. Your work will require proposing, prototyping, and analyzing ideas for solutions that solve real-world storage problems. You will partner with team-members to productize the best of these solutions, and deliver the associated benefits to end-users. Expect some of the problems to be of a research and path-finding nature, and others to be in the architectural and development domain.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through your educational research and/or relevant job/internship experience:

Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

Additional Qualifications

Experience in software engineering and C/C++ programming skills.

Experience with computer architecture and operating systems fundamentals.

Experience in high-performance low-level system software development.

Experience in developing Embedded multitasking applications (1 or more courses/projects)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in storage subsystems.

Solid-state non-volatile media

Experience in memory and I/O subsystems.

Firmware or Windows driver development.

Experience in device driver storage concepts.

Experience with ARM or XScale development and architecture; and BIOS/OROM software.

Behavioral skills include strong results orientation, problem solving, and written and verbal communication.
