Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.

Candidate will integrate first generation security (TXT/TPM/TCP) features as a component of a reference solution working directly with strategic and emerging enterprise/cloud/HPC customers to enable customer differentiation. Candidate will develop technology proof points, identify tools and collateral required to scale these technologies, and develop white papers enabling field and customer deployment of these solutions. Requires broad technical knowledge of the solution tiers including platform ingredients, security technology, server Middleware (OSVs, ISVs) and end user applications.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and:
- 3+ years of software or systems engineering experience
- 1+ years of Engineering experience in a customer facing role

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Solutions architecture/integration experience a plus
- BIOS background preferred
