Description
The Mobile Systems Architecture (MSA) group in Intel's Mobile and Communications Group (MCG) is looking for a senior platform architect to join the team. The candidate shall join the Systems Architecture team in MSA and be responsible for driving the definition of the next generation SoC and platform for Smartphones and tablets based on 14/10nm technology.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
As lead platform architect from concept phase through execution and delivery of products to customers, the candidate shall perform a number of core architecture functions including:
- Definition of requirements for various functional sub-systems of the future SoC and platform.
-Analysis of process technology options and partitioning optimizing performance, functionality and cost.
-Identify and coordinate/drive Tech Readiness (TR) efforts related to definition of SoC and/or platform.
-Drive core platform architecture functions including definition of use cases, SoC IP features, disposition of bugs/issues, delivery of technical specs, PnP targets and decisions related to SKUing and product management
-Support all management reviews related to the platform from architecture perspective and lead customer design-win engagements as lead platform architect
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in the following:
- Strong working knowledge of SoC design, process technology and design methodology for SoCs.
- Strong working knowledge of Smartphone/tablet reference designs in aspects such as components selection and tradeoff analyses (use-cases, thermal management, power management).
- Strong working knowledge of Android and/or Windows environment for mobile platforms.
- Experience in analyzing cross-domain system-level bugs and issues and ability to lead cross-domain teams as needed to drive TTM resolution.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and forums such as War Room, PXT and ability to influence key decisions.
- Experience in delivering or making significant visible contributions in management forums and reviews.
Masters with 5 years or more working experience in designing mobile platforms.
The job requires travel on an as-needed basis.
