Position Description:

The primary purpose of the job is to: determine business needs and requirements, and how they translate into marketing software strategic deliverables in several key roles.

Additionally, preparing all release management and fed readiness documentation as necessary to implement changes and releases.

Finally, this position will work directly with the program manager to assess and document current technologies and be able to recommend and design future technology strategy.

This position also will work with marketing software vendors to help communicate requirements and assist with software implementations.

This role is a strategic role, requiring the candidate to have a diverse skill set, including project management, business management, leadership, strong written and oral communication skills, and self-discipline.

The BA Manager role has many management responsibilities, including oversight of department strategic planning, including program manager activities.

Department growth will require this position to assume additional management responsibilities, including direct reports.

Position Requirements
Determine business requirements for new requests, changes, and issues requested and reported by various members of the sales, product development, operations, and marketing software teams. Coordination with administration systems teams as needed. 30%

Prepare release management and fed readiness documentation; attend release planning meetings; document processes and procedures 30%

Assess and document current technologies; investigate, design, and recommend solutions for new technology implementations and strategies. 20%

Act as liaison between quality assurance software testing teams, development teams, marketing software team management, and business management, being able to clearly articulate what is needed, what potential solutions are, and what realistic timeframes will be for delivering. 10%

Vendor management - working directly with marketing software and related vendors to communicate and confirm business requirements are implemented properly and effectively. 10%

Common challenges faced in this job can include:
Difficult requirements - trying to determine what the business is asking for and translating that into requirements will require intense fact finding and research skills.

Tight deadlines - this is a fast-paced environment that squeezes a lot of work into the release schedule, with no room for timeframe slippage.

Ability to manage multiple and quickly changing priorities - This role will need to be able to handle multiple priorities, be able to prioritize them based on business requirements, and must be able to change priorities on the fly as directed by management.

Strict attention to detail - Documentation of requirements, fed readiness paperwork, and change management processes all require attention to detail, as mistakes can lead to delays and cost the company potential business.
