Summary:

This individual will be responsible for application technical support and operations of the Control-M environment at NRG. Additionally, they will use Control-M software to perform job scheduling and maintenance and first-line problem diagnostics, communicating problems to appropriate personnel, correcting abends and resubmitting jobs by using restart/recovery procedures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Responsible for technical support and management of the Control-M application at NRG.
- Responsible for report generation in real-time, day-ahead and adhoc requests.
- Monitoring and creation of Critical/New job streams.
- Interface with Application & Functional teams regarding procedures &/or SOX requirements.
- Act as "gate keeper" for all new jobs created, tested and ultimately placed in production.
- Plans, develop, coordinate, perform and direct the activities of batch job scheduling administration using Control-M and provide recommendations for upgrade, patch work, directory clean up, etc.
- Review and analyze daily reports for accuracy and maintain buffer between completion time and SLA requirement.
- Assist all necessary personnel with fully understanding the Control-M product and its functionality.
- Provide business continuance support.
- Provide 24-hour on call support, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:


Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of Control-M implementations on unix operating systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required in order to provide appropriate cross functional support and interaction.
- Detail oriented, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to productively use Reliant's toolset - MS Office Applications, MS Outlook, MS Project, Visio, Internet Explorer.
- Flexibility, dedication, and team-spirit is a must.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Qualifications:


Education:

- High school graduate with two years of college.

Experience:

- Five years of job scheduling and operations experience.
- Experience with job scheduling and operations in an SAP environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be willing to travel when needed
- Duties are performed during standard business hours and overtime based on project requirements.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to attend meetings and respond to application problems at various corporate sites when necessary
- Professional office environment.
- Team work environment in cube or open work area
- Willingness to work overtime hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and to achieve project milestones.
